In a sense, this movie is about that as two ex-lovers meet again while married to other people. Interestingly, they met during an exotic trip and they rekindle the old flame. The results will shock you. Directed by Moses Inwang, this film features the likes of Joselyn Dumas, Beverly Naya, and our lover boy Jim Iyke.

love is war

Trust me, If you look for a more descriptive title for one of the latest Nigerian movies than the one above, then you will not find any. This story is about a husband and wife at war over the governorship seat. It is a perfect mix of drama, politics, and love. The couple is played by Omoni Oboli and Richard Mofe Damijo is one of the former’s best films to date.

The opening scene sets the tone for the rest of the movie. It starts with an aerial shot of a car driving through a winding bush path, while all that can be heard is the voice of a little girl singing an eerie Igbo folk song. When the car comes to a halt, the driver is revealed to be a man named Obinna Omego (played by Enyinna Nwigwe). He has driven his daughter to the middle of a forest with the promise of showing her a waterfall. He tells her to close her eyes in preparation for the surprise. When she does this, he beheads her. This sets up the move nicely for suspense and drama that will leave you reeling until the very end. Starring the legendary Ramsey Nouah, the film is also directed by him and produced by Steve Gukas, Dotun Olakunri, and Charles Okpaleke.

This is a touching movie that based on faith, with Biodun Stephen at the helm. The story is that of a Nigerian couple who cannot bear children and their faith is put to the test. The problems arise when everyone blames the husband. It received immense praise from critics with the cast including people like Blossom Chukwujekwu, Chris Iheuwa, and Enado Odigie.

Code Wilo: This interesting movie has a simple storyline about a South African politician in Nigeria with his children. Once he announces the gubernatorial candidacy of his daughter, she is kidnapped and the story builds around that. Expect to see actors like Bikiya Graham Douglas and Gbenga Titiloye.

This is also a political thriller that has a very big message and secretes unfolded in it. It shows the political system of Nigeria for the past twenty years in a sharp, clear, succinct, and fiery manner. Expect to be hooked just a few minutes into this latest Nollywood movies.

We hope to keep this list updated and will welcome any recommendations you might have…
