Bush mango seeds known as ogbono in Igbo language and apon in yoruba

It is a rich source of potassium, iron, water, energy, protein, carbohydrate, ascorbic acid, sodium, amino acids, dietary fibre, vitamin C, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. The seeds contain fatty acids such as oleic acid and so many others.

African or bush mango seeds have beneficial effects on diabetes and obesity as well as in lowering cholesterol, and increasing antioxidant and gastrointestinal activity. These seeds can be used for Ogbono soup.
